Peugeot dominated the hot hatch segment for many years with cars such as the legendary 205 GTi of the 1980s. The 207 GTi THP 175, however, is the modern evolution of the eighties "hot hatchback".
The 1.6 litre THP (Turbo High Pressure) engine produces a maximum power of 175 bhp and a torque of 180 lb ft from only 1600 rpm.
A car with performance in its genes, the new GTi is equipped as standard with the latest-generation ESP system that can be switched off if required.
The 207 GTi THP 175 accommodates each of its four potential occupants in "bucket" style seats that have been based on those used in motor sport and trimmed in dark "Alcantara" with a matching 3D mesh.
The Peugeot 207 GTi THP 175 will go on sale in the UK in June 2007 priced at £14,995 on-the-road.
